Streets: Phlegm (Poland)

British muralist and illustrator, Phlegm, recently spent a couple days in the Polish capital, Warsaw, working on a new mural for the Street Art Doping festival. Once again, he got assigned an interesting wall by the organizers, with several different sized windows and parts of the plaster missing. Openings: Push – “Adaptation” @ Known Gallery

For those who missed the three day only showing from PUSH at the Known Gallery, our friends at LA Taco have some photos of the event. Presented by Simple Mobile, Adaptation featured a setup from the LA-based graffiti artist that cleverly brought his signature patterns indoors, which at the same time transformed his usual 2D work into a three-dimensional interactive walkthrough installation. Openings: Know Hope – “The Abstract And The Very Real” @ Lazarides Rathbone

Last night, Lazarides Rathbone in London opened their doors to the new solo show from Know Hope. The Abstract And The Very Real consisted of clusters of paintings and assemblages, often utilizing found objects, that collectively put forth the Tel Aviv-based artist’s ode to the human spirit, manifested in his signature characters, imagery, and motifs. Streets: Aryz (Norway)

The prolific Aryz is at it again – this time in Norway for the Oslo Triennial of Mural Art. Featuring the young Spanish street muralist’s signature faded palette, the surreal piece was painted on the side of a multi-story building and featured a skeletal man and a young girl. Sat One & ROID Paint Boeing 737

Sat One & ROID recently came together for an enormous collaboration set up by The Hanger One Project where they were tasked with painting a Boeing 737. Battling the elements as well as fighting to get the hang of the tricky curved aluminum surface, the two European graffiti artists were able to create an epic piece that melding their styles perfectly. Polish artists Sainer and Bezt, better known as Etam Cru, recently painted another fantastic mural on the streets of Richmond, for the local Richmond Mural Project.
