We recently brought you news of Ericailcane (here) and Word to Mother (here) painting murals at FAME Festival (full coverage here). Update/Releases: “Che” Print by Ernesto Yerena

Last month we brought you a exclusive peek into Ernesto Yerenaâ€™s “Che” project and hinted at a pending print release. Well, the wait is over because this awesome image has been made into a special hand pulled silkscreen print to be released tomorrow August 26th at Hecho Con Ganas. Releases: Kaws x Undercover Bear Companion

Here are some new images of the collaboration release from Undercover with their classic “eye-censored” bear and Kaws’ companion figure.Â Sitting together, perhaps Mori Chack-style, the figure comes in white as well as black.Â Priced at about $135, look for the release on August 29th at Undercover locations across Japan and perhaps Original Fake as well. FAME Festival – Word to Mother

UK’s Word to Mother (interviewed) has just finished a lovely mural at FAME Festival (our coverage here). Word’s soft colors and sketched lines fit really well into the environment the artists have been working in. This piece forms a nice continuation to his solo exhibition, “Young Mind, Old Soul,” at Fifty24SF (covered) earlier in the year. See a more detailed shot of the figure to the right after the jump.

Streets: Imminent Disaster

We saw this image of an Imminent Disaster piece in progress today on Vandalog and were struck again by the complexity of her work and paper cutting skills. We first saw the intricacy of her work in person at the “Streets of Brooklyn” show in January and more recently at her dual show with Gaia at Ad Hoc Art, but nothing quite highlights the ephemerality of street art like seeing her delicate and time-consuming cutouts pasted on a decaying wall. Sixeart opened his debut solo show in Sao PauloÂ at ROJO artspace POP last Tuesday, August 11th. The fantastic exhibit, entitled “SueÃ±an las gallinas con ser humanas” (inÂ English:Â “The hens dream about being human”), showcases thirteen brand new works on paper and aÂ colorfulÂ installation featuring his trademark characters, geometric shapes andÂ mysterious numerals, allÂ stabbed with wooden arrows.Â TheÂ Barcelona native, who has painted on the streets sinceÂ the 1980s,Â enjoysÂ a successful fine art careerÂ in Spain. Lazarides will be opening a show tonight, August 21st, at their Newcastle location, featuring influential street artist Mode 2.Â Returning to the UK from a “self-exile” in Paris, he will be exhibiting new paintings and installations, as well as a selection of sketches on display on ground floor of the gallery.Â Judging from these preview images from Ian Cox, it’s shaping up to be a pretty good show.Â More images after the jump…
