Upcoming: “Dreamer, Lover, Maker, Fighter” @ BeinArt Gallery

On June 2nd, a new show group show entitled Dreamer, Lover, Maker, Fighter opens at BeinArt Gallery. The four person exhibition includes paintings and drawings by Brian Viveros, Miles Johnston (seen above), Kari-Lise Alexander and Scott Scheidly, all who create their own form of surreal portraiture. Previews: “Small Works” @ BeinArt Gallery

On July 29th, BeinArt Gallery will be opening Small Works, a show featuring over 60 artists, the second installment in an annual group exhibition. The size of the pieces is limited to 10″ x 10″ and smaller with 5% from every purchase to the Australia’s Climate Council and will feature carbon offsetting on all shipping. Previews: Adrian Cox – “Sensory Garden” @ beinArt Gallery

Following up on his showing with two other artists last year at beinArt Gallery, Adrian Cox will be opening a show on June 3rd. For his first solo in Australia, the St. Louis-based artist has created a new body of work entitled Sensory Garden, oil paintings featuring his signature “Border Creatures,” hybrid creatures that live in the the wilderness of the “Borderlands.” Each character is an amalgamation of the environment around them including flora, fauna, and crystallized mineral deposits. Ian Strange (Kid Zoom) – “Suburban” @ National Gallery of Victoria

Back in July, we previewed the largest project to date by our friend Ian Strange.
