Openings: Yoko Tanaka @ David B. Smith Gallery

When we previewed Yoko Tanaka’s show that ends soon at David B. Smith Gallery, it didn’t register how large some of her paintings actually were until we saw some opening pics. Preview: Yoko Tanaka @ David B. Smith Gallery

Tonight is the opening of artist and illustrator Yoko Tanaka’s show at David B. Smith Gallery – part of a three person show with Katherine Guillen and Andrea Offerman. We have long admired Tanaka’s fanciful landscapes and her charming anthropomorphic animals, of which there are plenty in this new body of work. If you are in Denver, definitely stop by as Tanaka will be making a rare appearance all the way from Thailand. More preview images after the jump…
