Last night marked the opening of Joseph “2H” McSween’s (interviewed) debut Los Angeles solo at the Ronin Gallery. 2H delighted the enthused crowd with a body of work featuring his intriguing female subjects and a vibrant eight foot acrylic and spray paint mural on the gallery’s main wall.

AM was impressed with the execution of the pieces, a true testament to 2H’s tremendous artistic and technical growth over the past year. From the piercing eyes of his girls, to the fine balance of colors and his creative use of shapes and geometrics, 2H is certainly an artist we will be keeping on our radar.

The creation of the mural is showcased in the time lapse video below and all of the photos from the opening are after the jump. Check it out.
