Update: Allison Sommers
Allison Sommers (interviewed) recently completed one of her delightful little sculptures of the mischievous creatures from her paintings - “Little Diedrich.” She writes - “A meat cake, a sheet cake filled with hammy treats cake… so could be heard the siren-song of little Diedrich, waiting in the woods for an unsuspecting traveler to sample his gaily-frosted, heavenly-delicious confectionaries…” Look for more sculptures and paintings in her next solo show at Thinkspace in May of 2010.
