Earlier this month at the Eleanor Harwood Gallery in San Francisco, Keven E. Taylor put on a show within a show in a sense as he rendered various animals, birds, and fish on display inside his paintings at what looks to be a museum. Disclocated examines concepts of isolation, exhibition and preservation with the subjects removed from their natural state and frozen in a moment of time and forces the viewer to consider if this is the future of our companions on this earth.
