On Thursday night, AM attended the double feature opening for Kenny Scharf at Paul Kasmin’s two galleries – the project space hosted Three Dozen (more on that soon), while in the primary space, Naturafutura was a showcase for numerous large scale paintings which drew inspiration from Kenny’s bi-coastal studio in Bahia, Brazil. The vibrant colors and subjects reflect this unique zone where lush jungles meet the warm tropical waters. You may also remember this bright color palette and style from his recent mural on the corner of Bowery & Houston. We also spied some creative sculptures that greeted guests as they entered the space.

Catch the rest of the show after the jump.
