On Friday, August 1st from 7–10pm, Kinfolk Wythe in NYC is hosting an opening reception for the Inaugural Summer Group Exhibition curated by Tim Strazza. Featuring a lineup of abstract artists that includes Amanda Wachob, Brian Willmont, Hense, Kenji Hirata, Lauren Seiden, Matt Mignanelli, Mike Lee, Revok, Russell Tyler and Vizie, the show will bring some fresh contemporary arts from creatives of different backgrounds into one venue.

The exhibition is focused on abstraction and the artists’ process, so the pieces chosen range widely in approach, strategy, and technique. With some of artists even allowing the materials to guide their approach, this 10 artist show offers very diverse and unique works featuring oils, acrylic, synthetic polymer, oil enamel, to tattooed canvases, textured and 3D works. Shown side-by-side, the event allows the viewer the chance to experience and examine the process of abstract art-making.
