For the newest edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival showing through January 18th, the four person Romania-based architecture collective visualSKIN have created a stunning installation entitled Ghost Ship. Projecting the image of a 17th century onto two perpendicular curtains of weather, the piece references the rich maritime history of Netherlands’ capital city. Those in town can see this colorful replica of the famous Dutch East India Company ship that started its maiden voyage to Batavia in 1749 in person in front of the ARCAM Amsterdam Center for Architecture and The National Maritime Museum.
