After Mark Jenkins (interviewed) opens his show in Rome and wraps up his street interventions there, he will be needed to help judge the Scotch Off the Roll Tape Sculpture Contest for 2012 just like he did in 2010. Olek is launching her first UK solo show this evening at Tony’s Gallery in East London. The wall-to-floor installation recreates living quarters, complete with bed, tables, picture frames and other domestic objects — all covered in brightly-coloured crochet. No more than a couple of weeks ago, Post No Bills unveiled a new solo exhibition (covered) by UK-based artist Paul Insect. During the event, specially-signed letterpressed items were given away to a fortunate few.
