Studio Visits: Dennis McNett – “Temple of Wolfbat” @ Known Gallery

AM recently stopped by the Wolfbat Studios of Dennis McNett. The Brooklyn-based artist is getting ready for his solo exhibition entitled Temple of Wolfbat at Known Gallery in Los Angeles that is set to open on November 16th. While there, we got a sneak peek of what’s to come for this big Los Angeles exhibition. From sculptures, leather etchings, wood carving, to collage paintings, McNett continues to bring us on his animalistic storytelling journey. Discuss Dennis McNett here.

Tonight in Copenhagen, Dennis McNett (featured) opened his latest solo show at MOHS Exhibit entitled Wolfbats Are Real. On display for this show in Denmark will be many of the artifacts from the related events of this mythic animal and legend featuring imagery which is influenced by the early 80s skateboard and punk […]

Openings: MS Fundraiser for Tim Strazza @ Joshua Liner Gallery

We all hit bumps in the road, but with a little help we can all overcome any obstacles. As mentioned previously, a good friend of AM and assistant director of Joshua Liner Gallery, Tim Strazza, was unfortunately diagnosed with a Multiple Sclerosis. We helped sponsor a fundraiser created by the gallery to generate funds that went to support Tim and his medical bills. It seemed that almost everyone came out of the woodworks to donate artwork for the charity auction including a heavy rotation of […]

The art community has banded together to show their support. […]

Openings: Dennis McNett – “Reaping Waves and Vital Vessels/The Passing of the Wolfbats” @ Joshua Liner Gallery

Last Thursday night, AM was on hand for one of the most exciting openings we’ve ever experienced: Dennis Mcnett’s Reaping Waves and Vital Vessels at the Joshua Liner Gallery. We had been impressed by the individual carved wood works we had seen during our studio visit with McNett, and although those pieces were included in the show, the total was so much more than just the sum of those individual parts. In addition, he created two large-scale installations for the gallery, including one with three […]
