Showing: Palms Casino – “Dust to Gold” Renovation

As part of the $620 million “Dust to Gold” renovation at the Palms Casino Resort, an impressive collection ranging from blue-chip works to street art murals was acquired, commissioned, and deployed throughout the hotel. Combined with pieces on loan from owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, the over 150 artworks fill every part of the casino – from the Damien Hirst shark above the Unknown Bar against a backdrop of his dots (seen above), to the KAWS statue outside the steakhouse, to the Felipe Pantone mural at the new Pearl Concert […]

Showing: Dustin Yellin – “10Parts” @ Grimm Gallery

Coinciding with the Amsterdam Art Weekend, Grimm Gallery opened Dustin Yellin’s show 10Parts on November 25th. Upcoming: Dustin Yellin x New York City Ballet

The new pieces, which are extensions of his ongoing Psychogeographies series, will have his subjects put into motion, a nod toward the dancers and their craft. The NYCB third presentation of their Art […]

Basel Week Miami ’13: Miami Project

The Miami Project successfully launched its second rendition during Basel week with a well-curated selection of U.S. galleries, including such notable names as Yossi Milo, Joshua Liner, Mark Moore, Richard Heller and David B. Smith. Located in the Wynwood Arts District, the young art fair focused on primary representation of emerging and mid-career artists, which was a nice counterpoint to its much larger neighbor, Art Miami. Overall, Miami Project was well-attended, and both galleries and collectors seemed very enthusiastic about the showing. Below is a […]
