Recap / Streets: No Limit Borås

After highlighting the mural from DALeast (interviewed) for No Limit Borås in Sweden, we now have a recap of the other works created by the invited artists ranging from painted walls to sculpture to 3D sidewalk art. The city of Borås witnessed Tristan Eaton, Logan Hicks, Pichi&Avo, Joe Iurato, Dulk, INTI, Laurence Vallières, Curiot, Robert Proch (seen above), and David Zinn getting their art on and we have photos of the results below.

Openings / Setup: CUT IT OUT! @ Urban Nation

A couple weekends ago, Urban Nation continued their ongoing arts program in Berlin with a new show curated by Henrik Haven & Olly Walker entitled CUT IT OUT!. Focusing on the artistic merit of the stencil, the group exhibition brought together some well known street artists skilled with the technique. Previews: Chris Stain & Joe Iurato – “Deep In The Cut” @ Mighty Tanaka

Tonight, Brooklyn’s Mighty Tanaka will be premiering a duo show with artists Chris Stain (interviewed) and Joe Iurato. Entitled Deep In The Cut, this exhibition pairs two urban artists who feature uniquely different styles, yet both create works utilizing highly technical hand cut stencils. The opening reception occurs tonight from 6pm-9pm. Discuss Chris Stain here.

Streets: World Roundup (June 18 – June 24)

Leading this week’s world roundup of street activity is this new mural from Specter (source). The storefront looks amazingly real and was painted for the Bushwick Five Points Festival in Brooklyn.
