Last week alongside Greg Simkin’s show at Merry Karnowsky, the works of Johnny Rodriguez (KMNDZ) collectively entitled One Step Beyond were also on display. We’ll have a final roundup of the “goodie bag” and all the items that paying attendees of this year’s Baby Tattooville retreat receive at the end of the weekend (you already saw the special poster and museum catalog), but here’s another taste courtesy of Diesel Fuel Prints. Preview: Sea No Evil 2011

Time flies! The annual Sea No Evil benefit auction ($10 donation required at the door) is fast approaching – in fact, it’s this Saturday, June 25th. Last week, AM stopped by Fifty24SF, literally right next door to the Josh Keyes opening at Fecal Face (covered), to check out the new paintings from KMNDZ. The Los Angeles-based artist brought along his boys (they recently worked on a large-scale painting with him), up north to the show with him making it a family affair. Look at these stacks of goodness getting ready to be shipped up North to San Francisco for a show opening on Thursday night, April 7th, at Fifty24SF. Last Saturday night marked an important event at Thinkspace Gallery history – their five year anniversary! Drawing from a long list of artists, many whom got their first break at the Silverlake and now recently relocated to Culver City gallery, the walls were filled with great pieces from the contributors who wanted to make sure they paid proper tribute.
