On Saturday night, AM was on hand to experience the surreal sculptures of Kris Kuksi as Joshua Liner Gallery hosted the opening of his latest show the “Beast Anthology.” As seen in our preview of the show, the show looked like a literal monster, but nothing prepared us for seeing the work in person. Sometimes a title to the show says it all… “Beast Anthology” – Kris Kuksi is a beast! His behemoth sculptures have us all in awe. Here at AM headquarters, we’ve been looking forward to seeing this one since we visited his last sold out show at Joshua Liner Gallery (covered). “Overdose” (previewed) opened this past Saturday at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Upon entering the gallery, you will notice several great pieces from “Overdose” on display in the gallery’s front room. The majority of the exhibition’s body of work is displayed in the gallery’s main room. A table was set up over in the smaller wing of the gallery for the Hi-Fructose Collected Edition 1 book signing.
