Basel Week Miami ’12: Marian Goodman @ Art Basel

Flanked on two walls by monumental works by Gerhard Richter and Julie Mehretu, Marian Goodman Gallery’s booth at Art Basel Miami Beach provided spectacular viewing for all that visited its booth. Art market man of the year Gerhard Richter’s striped piece was from his series using a digital process and provided a taste for those that missed his most recent show with Goodman. Three photographs by Rineke Dijkstra covered one wall and a wall text by Lawrence Weiner were just some of the important artists’ works that were seemingly everywhere you looked at […]

Armory Week ’10: The Armory Show

Undoubtedly, you all have been waiting for more Armory Week ’10 coverage, and we apologize for the delay, but after nearly a week of visually-overloaded days and late nights, we had to take a break before getting to it. And even more luckily, we saw lots of amazing art – so much so that it was too much to talk about in just one post. So, enjoy part 1 of our virtual Chelsea stroll today, and check back […]

Los Angeles’s own Regen Projects shared a single room with Galerie Klosterfelde from Berlin at the Art Los Angeles Contemporary fair.  The two galleries brought out fantastic pieces from their stable of superstars, including a cluster of drawings by Raymond Pettibon (pictured above), photos by Wolfgang Tillmans from his Lighter series, a Matthew Barney piece, drawings and a window piece by Lawrence Weiner, a spectacular Lari Pittman painting, a large Catherine Opie photo, and sculptures by the always-challenging German artist John Bock. More images from […]

We are not kidding when we say that there was a massive amount of art to be seen and shown from Miami during Art Basel Week.  Continuing with our coverage, we are proud to show you the booth of Regen Projects, one of the most prestigious galleries, not only in Los Angeles, but internationally.  Its stable of artists would make just about any other gallery insane with jealousy and collectors drool.  It includes the top-tier, from John Currin, Richard Prince, Anish Kapoor, and Matthew Barney, […]
