Currently on auction at White Columns are works from over 80 artists to benefit the not-for-profit gallery near the border of West Village and the Meat Packing District in New York. Last weekend, the outdoor fields and indoor hanger Pima Art and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona were the venues for the hand-painted vintage planes of The Boneyard Project: Return Trip. The Anonymous Gallery kicked off their Mexico City location with a bang with a recently closed group show – Fresh Kills. The title of the showing refers to the 2,200 acres in New York known as Fresh Kills Landfill that will be converted to a huge public park over the course of the next 30 years. One of the most prestigious private showings at Art Basel Miami Week every year is from the Rubell Family Collection. This year, the group show culled from their extensive holdings was entitled American Exuberance, a reference to the fact that all artists included were American citizens and living in the States leading to a keen observation of American culture, economy and politics. A while back, we told you about the debut issue of Dasha Zhukova’s provocative new art magazine Garage which featured tattoos from prominent artists like Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Raymond Pettibon, John Baldessari, and Damien Hirst. The Hirst designed butterfly in particular was controversial because it was tattooed onto the labia (NSFW pics here) of a willing participant. Now, comes word of a documentary entitled Skin that was produced in association with the project. Check the trailer above. Via booooooom.

Last week at their Central Hong Kong space, Gagosian Gallery opened an exhibition of work from New York-based contemporary artist Richard Prince.
