To go along with the first five artists (Dave Kinsey, Ron English, Patrick Martinez, James Jean, and Kid Zoom) announced last week for our upcoming City of Fire exhibition at Stephen Webster, we now have another five to reveal. A special project taking place at this year’s Scope New York art fair is the Rebaroque Artist Series Sound Wall, a collaborative audio/visual installation featuring Rebaroque sound panels—art and design objects created from vintage fabrics and frames that include speakers through which you can play sound or music from an iPod or other device. AM was living large at the exclusive release party for “Stickers: Stuck-Up Piece of Crap,” an amazing book just published by Rizzoli chronicling stickers in contemporary music, design and art. The passion-project of DB Burkeman – drum and bass DJ and jack-of-all-trades, “Stickers” contains images of approximately 4,000 pieces from Barry McGee, Kaws, ESPO, Neckface, Shepard Fairey and many many more. Last night, AM attended the opening of “The New Grand Tour” at the fresh gallery space of Bryce Wolkowitz (previewed). With a lineup of Deanne Cheuk, Jose Parla, Rey Parla, Davi Russo, Romon Kimin Yang (Rostarr) and Suitman a.k.a.
