Part of the immersive Comic Con experience for many is dressing up as their favorite character (or just one they strongly resemble) or interacting with and watching others in costume. SDCC ’10: Sculptures, Toys, and Figures

As we previewed prior to Comic Con, the weekend event featured the unveiling of some fantastic sculptures and figures by artists we all know and love, including those by Jeff Soto, Travis Louie, David Choe, Shepard Fairey, Yoskay Yamamoto, and Luke Chueh. Signings: San Diego Comic-Con 2009

Releases: James Jean’s “Kindling” Book – San Diego Comic-Con

A limited number of advance copies of James Jean’s (interviewed) book featuring work from his NYC solo show will be released at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Published by Chronicle Books, “Kindling” presents 12 of James’ visual mix of abstract and illustrative works from the show, along with his detailed preliminary sketch for the work on the reverse side, printed in a removable large poster format.
