The potted blooms are customized with the Los Angeles-based artist’s signature facial features and take inspiration from his job during college was delivering bouquets in Santa Barbara. From the 6th of February until the 12th of June 2016, Yorkshire Sculpture Park will be hosting the first UK museum exhibition by KAWS. The show will include new large, bright, graphic canvases at their expansive Longside Gallery and a series of monumental companion sculptures which will be exhibited around the historically designed landscape of YSP. In association with the new solo from Mark Jenkins (interviewed) that just opened at the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles (covered), the artist has released some limited editions through Freeway Editions. The Baby tape sculptures come in four different colors and are produced in a run of 10 each and is something every fan of the American street artist recognizes as the medium that is his original claim to fame.
