We were wondering what the large wooden installation (previously posted) was that Ai Yamaguchi was working on for her Roberts & Tilton show. Well, the photo you see above is the mural inside which could only be accessed by climbing in the structure (“shoelessly” we might add). More photos of the opening after the jump.
Seen above was one of her more “affordable” pieces. If you had the money and the inclination, there were some painted “benches” that were fantastic. Some of her pieces look like they were painted on porcelain but in actuality are acrylic on canvas with cotton stuffing. More pics in the gallery below.
