Openings: “Octo Pusses” Group Show & Bast – “Horse Radish” @ New Image Art

AM’s whirlwind Los Angeles art show weekend capped off with a trip to New Image Art for the “Octo Pusses” group exhibition, which featured the work of Aaron Johnson, Antonio Diaz, Ben Jones, Cleon Peterson, Gino Perez, Judith Supine (studio visit) and Neck Face. The mixed media collage piece from Supine seen above absolutely stole the show. With its colorful, thought provoking imagery, patrons could not help but stop and take a closer look. It was also nice to see Bast’s (studio visit) return to New Image with a small showing of works entitled “Horse Radish” in the gallery’s project room.
