Last night, Louis Vuitton premiered a show they curated entitled A Passion for Creation at the Hong Kong Museum of Art with a shortlist of some of the top names in Contemporary Art. Some of the artists included Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons, Paul Chan, Cao-Fei, Yang Fudong, Gilbert & George, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Andreas Gursky, Pierre Huyghe, Bertrand Lavier, and Christian Marclay.
Of course LV homeboys Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, and Stephen Sprouse had a “special section” of their own, comprising of Vuitton’s antique trunks and suitcases to showcase their timeless collaborations. This show wasn’t just paintings, there were magnificent installations galore. What a month to be in Hong Kong! First Parla, then Art HK and now this historic show curated by Louis Vuitton.
