It’s not often that you find AM regurgitating a press release, but this email we got from CEPT recently about his newly released hand finished edition made us chuckle so much that we thought we should repost it here in all its glory…
I think we all know summer is statistically the best time time to find love, or to put it crudely, at least get your leg over more than usual. While the sun is out and libidos are soaring, It can be the season for hooking up with people you wouldn’t of even shot during winter……
But on the flipside, it can also be a time of break-ups, heartache, tears, self induced temporary blindness, heated rows and explaining to the landlord how the flat got trashed. That’s right…..all good things do inevitably come to pass, and as Shakespeare once said ‘Love thy neighbor……but don’t get caught….coz you’ll loose your deposit’.
So this month we celebrate the immortal words of Ian Curtis ‘Love will tear us apart’ in a new print release by CEPT entitled ‘Again & Again’. After numerous enquiries as to whether his iconic piece near Hoxton overground station was available as a print, he has decided to put some clothes on and produce an edition of 10, individually hand painted silk screen prints on 300gsm water colour paper, (Based on his original sketch for the wall piece). All printed, signed, painted and numbered by the artist. Edition of 10 56cm x 76cm £300 each. To order a print email [email protected]
Take a look at a couple of pictures by Baz Dunkley of the original street piece after the jump.
