The details behind this video are a little bit murky, but what we like about it is that we get to see the elusive Poster Boy or one of the members of his “collective” in action. Although we don’t especially find these particular works that impressive, seeing that razor blade in action is pretty cool.
This old footage is from early 2009, when MoMA put up artwork all over a New York subway station and may or may not have hired Poster Boy to help. Shortly thereafter, the street artist returned to “remix” the ads, all while wearing a MoMA jacket with the marketing executive who worked together with MoMA on the campaign in tow along with a camera crew. Whether this was actually a publicity stunt sanctioned by the museum or an independent act is anyone’s guess. Take a look at the resultant work here.
