Swiss contemporary artist Andy Denzler will be dispatching a new body of work down to Seoul, Korea for an upcoming solo exhibition with Michael Shultz Gallery. Opening Thursday, Janurary 27th, the talented oil painter will show a selection of his uniquely constructed works, deliberately fragmenting his landscape based portraits in unusual ways. The resulting imagery almost has a look of a digital image in which the pixels had been reassembled imprecisely or the feel of a fading memory being recounted in ambiguous detail. With work in the White House Permanent Collection, Denzler has proved his intriguing technique combined with his everyday imagery and themes of longing and nostalgia produce an enchanting effect and is worth paying attention to.
Show card after the jump with further details and an additional image.
