Last week, the Gagosian in Beverly Hills hosted Psycho Spaghetti Westerns, Ed Ruscha’s first painting exhibition in LA in twelve years. The legendary artist brought ten large pieces for his Los Angeles fans, each an extension of the ideas he played with in his Course of Empire series, with which Ruscha represented the U.S. at the 2005 Venice Biennale. For those interested, you can take a look at the video footage above of the opening from hyde or die and also check out some photos from Purple Diary.
