Continuing his collaboration with The Hundreds, Mark Dean Veca (interviewed) will be releasing a skate deck and kicks (Johnson Mid) featuring his signature “Toile de Jouy” abstractions. The shoe’s pattern is based on the image above which is also chock full of pop references like Hank Williams, Franz Kline, Ed Ruscha’s Hollywood Sign, Lil’ Annie Fannie, and Green Eggs and Ham. There are more images of the shoes, skateboards, and art work after the jump for those interested.
Also, for those in LA, Mark will be exhibiting his recent work at the C.O.L.A. Fellowship exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery with the opening set for later today (2-5 pm).
