Almost a year since images first leaked on the Wood Companion, KAWS appears to be ready to give an official drop to the Karimoku Companion, a more fine art spin akin to the bronze iterations of his signature mascot. Priced at￥252,000 (~$3,000) and 30cm tall (~11.8 inches), the super sexy Medicom produced figure is from an edition of 100. As is always the case, those in Tokyo will get first dibs at Original Fake next Saturday, May 28th. Otherwise, if you’re interested and you’ve got the coin, keep an eye out for a random email from kawsone, with the Brooklyn-based artist employing the completely unannounced online drop methodology with the past few releases that have actually made it to his site.
