Last fall saw the release of a wonderful book to coincide with his Nobody’s Fool retrospective. This fall season sees the release of an even more comprehensive book set from Yoshitomo Nara. Published by Chronicles Books, The Complete Works is the definitive guide to the Japanese art legend’s life work. The two 400-page volumes bound in a fabric slipcase designed by Nara himself feature all of the artist’s prolific output over the span of his career to date, including more than 4,500 paintings, drawings, editions, sculptures, photographs, and collaborations with other artists. The elegantly designed catalog also includes new essays written by Nara, as well as texts from Banana Yoshimoto, Takashi Murakami, Hiroshi Sugito, and Midori Matsui. The book is available for pre-sale here.
