Our Art Focus this week is on San Francisco-based artist Kelly Falzone Inouye and her Sitcom Series. The entertaining set of watercolors evokes some nostalgic memories for us old enough to remember some of these television shows back in the day. The series is in line with the philosophy behind her artwork which is to “document some of the more obscure aspects of popular culture, playing with the idea of collective memory through appropriation and manipulation of familiar imagery.”
