On November 8th, the Carmichael Gallery will be presenting Like Father, Like Son : NYC at a popup space in New York (6 to 8pm, 303 Tenth Ave in Chelsea). The retrospective survey covers works from renowned Los Angeles-based Chicano father and son photographers, Eriberto and Estevan Oriol and is the NYC version of a show that was seen in LA in October of 2011 (covered) The exhibition will comprise of fifteen limited edition black and white, color, silver gelatin and digital c-prints from each photographer, including works exhibited in the historic Art In The Streets exhibition at the MOCA. This will be marks the first showing of the Oriols’ work side by side on the US east coast, so for those interested in a taste of the urban California lifestyle, here’s your chance.
