This Thursday March 21st, London-based artist Charming Baker will return to Los Angeles for his first showing in five years. For his show Entitled Lie Down I Think I Love You, the artist has made a new series of works exploring the unpredictable nature of love. Opening at Jonathan Levine Gallery was Polish-born and New York-based Olek. Releasing at 9am Pacific (noon Eastern) time on Tuesday, March 19 by 1xRUN is a limited edition (of 200) print by the highly respected graffiti writer/fine artist REVOK. Titled 1313 Milwaukee and priced at $200, it is a 30″x30″ archival pigment print on hand-deckled, 300gsm water color cotton paper. Based on the assemblage pieces the artist does in Detroit that are composed of bits and pieces of the city, it will be the one and only edition that he will make based on these works. […]

New York’s Team Gallery recently launched a major new show by Romanian-born, Germany-based artists Gert and Uwe Tobias. In particular, his latest series of digitally modified photographs entitled New Landscapes caught our eye – featuring transformed piles of garbage covered in green protective netting tricking the eye (with the placement of additional items) to see traditional Chinese landscape paintings. Every now and then, we come across art that brings out the childlike wonder which we often forget as adults. Dedicated to Coney Island (1984-2002), presented by Andrew Eldin Gallery is definitely that kind of art. Dutch artist Piet Janssen, aka Parra, brought a new body of work to Jonathan Levine Gallery for his debut exhibition there.
