Wednesday night (November 20th) in Hong Kong, the local Galerie Perrotin will be opening a solo by Daniel Arsham entitled #FUTUREARCHIVE. For the New York-based artist’s first show in China, he has prepared a selection of workS that provide a good overview of the different series he has been exploring. The title of the exhibition refers to the sculptures he creates out of shattered glass and other materials that depict modern day items as they would be seen in the future as relics and Pompeian-like post disaster preservations. Also seen will be his melting three dimensional plays on ideas of architecture and paintings that we have come to expect from him.
