On the 22nd of November, UTBNYC will be opening their first charity benefit show entitled Home Sweet Home. For this exhibition, they invited 30 artists from all over the world to participate and help the cause. The list of the participating artists include some of the NYC’s notable names in graffiti, street art and urban art, showing and offering their works along with their colleagues from all over the world including Swoon, Miss Bugs, Faile, Judith Supine, RAE, Martin Whatson, EELUS, Aakash Nihalani, Priest, Carl Cashman, Zed1, Phlegm, and many more. Some of the highlights of the show are Swoon’s mixed media work, Martin Whatson & DotDotDot’s collab piece, NYC legend Cost’s signature pasters/prints and his crew colleague, SET, who will be offering signed, handmade books with hand finishing for the first time, and Phlegm donating signed/doodled copies of his book, and much more.
The show will help raise funds and bring awareness to Hour Children, an organization that’s mission is to “help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children successfully rejoin the community, reunify with their families and build healthy, independent and secure lives.” 100% of all the gallery proceeds will be donated to the charity!
The opening reception will be on the 22nd of November from 7pm-10pm at their space in Brooklyn, with free admission and refreshments for visitors.
