Sainer & Bezt, the only two members of the Etam Cru, recently visited Italy right after opening their solo show in Barcelona (covered). The Polish art duo stopped in Gaeta, where they created this large mural for the ongoing Memorie Urbane festival. This time, the two put aside their darker surrealist concepts, and did this playful piece showing a little boy selling his toys, symbolizing the end of childhood and entry into the world of grownups. FriendsWithYou’s We Are FriendsWithYou has been released by publisher Rizzoli, and to celebrate, the duo of Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III will be signing books and providing fans with an interactive experiential installation in MOCA’s Grand Ave courtyard. Sure to be a delight, participants will also be treated to a musical environment by Money Mark and have the opportunity to purchase limited edition products. We recently brought you a look at artists at work on the Urban Nation’s Project M/4 in Berlin, curated by Thinkspace. Participants including Andrew Schoultz, C215, Curiot, Fernando Chamarelli, Glenn Barr, Joao Ruas, Low Bros, Nosego, Word To Mother, Alexis Diaz (aka La Pandilla), Karl Addison, and Dabs Myla were asked to create large window murals as well as working on the facade of the building. Previews: Ana Bagayan – “Children of the Sun” @ Thinkspace Gallery

Tomorrow night in Los Angeles, the Thinkspace Gallery will be hosting the opening of Ana Bagayan’s (interviewed) newest solo show. Children of the Sun features paintings and drawings that are inspired by her fascination with our sun and the worlds around it with the title of the show referring to Ancient Armenia, before the introduction of Christianity. DALeast has been having a quiet year focusing more on his studio work, traveling less and doing less street works. But recently, he took part in the Day One Festival in Roeselare, Belgium, organized by Street Art Belgium, by creating this massive piece on the docks. The Chinese-born artist painted this large image showing six human figures moving a large mountain. Last week, the iconic corner of Bowery & Houston in New York saw a new mural take shape as COPE2 took over the location. Featuring his well known bubble tags and associated graf elements, the wall was soon filled with letterings from the NYC writer on a richly textured background. The last time we were able to experience Walton Ford’s work in person in New York was in 2011 when he blew us away with his surreal portraits of King Kong as well as his well known naturalistic paintings. Last week, the 18th annual Webby Awards named Banksy the Person of the Year in a surprise move. Of course, the elusive street artist was not on hand to accept the distinction awarded for excellence on the internet.
