The country of Turkey was recently graced by a great exhibition featuring some key graffiti & street artist from around the world. Held at the Pera Museum, the show was entitled Language of the Wall: Graffiti / Street Art and gathered together 20 artists from countries such as America, Germany, France, Japan, Turkey, to give folks in the region a taste of the urban art form from around the globe. Curated by Roxane Ayral, this grouping included works by distinguished icons from different generations & disciplines such as Futura, Carlos Mare, Cope2, Turbo, Wyne, JonOne, Tilt, Mist, Psyckoze, Craig Costello (aka KR), Herakut, Logan Hicks, C215, Suiko, Evol, Gaia, Tabone, Funk and No More Lies, along with photographs by documentarians & photographers Martha Cooper, Henry Chalfant and Hugh Holland. This exhibition runs from August 13th to October 5th.
