Over the weekend, Tomokazu Matsuyama (interviewed) opened his new showcase (arranged by LeBasse Projects) at Harbour City in Hong Kong. Like other artists before him – KAWS (here), Yayoi Kusama, Yue Minjun (here), and Florentijn Hofman (here) – the New York based artist’s work dominated the main entrance and was also supported by a small exhibition of his work. Included are a 6.5 meter high stainless steel sculpture as well his contemporary Japanese imagery gracing the stairs, pillars, and adjacent billboards. Stop by for a look in you are in HK through September 9th.
