A while back, we told you about an amazing project from JR (interviewed) that saw him work his magic on a 365 meter long container ship, the CMA CGM MAGELLAN. He has since followed that up by releasing a print that had him juxtoposing another long-standing series of works with the dancers from the New York City Ballet over his time wheatpasting the vessel. Also, if you have been following his Instagram, you will have heard of the amazing story of how the ship met and rescued some refugees after leaving from the Port of Le Havre, France (which is particularly poignant because this project is the culmination of his Women Are Heroes series – and some of the people saved were women from Syria, Egypt, Eritrea, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, and Somalia).
