On May 15th, a colossal sculptural work from KAWS will be unveiled at Piazza of Shanghai Times Square. This is not the first time the American artist has put on display something like this for his Chinese fans as you may remember the same sculpture from last year in Hong Kong (covered). With the seven meter tall version of his iconic Companion figure holding two smaller characters in his arms standing guard, visitors and residents of the largest city in China will certainly get a good look at KAWS’ work in person.

Launching in partnership with fashion department store Lane Crawford and curating company AllRightsReserved, the showcase will also feature some limited edition items for sale comprising of canvas bags, canvas cushions, gray and white cotton T-shirts, and mini plush dolls that are limited to 1,000 pieces.
