Tonight (June 27) at Giant Robot 2 in Los Angeles, Still Life will open featuring the work of Mike Lee and Vincent Nguyen. The drawings of Lee are what caught our eyes – compartmentalized slices of urban life that let the viewer take a bird’s eye view of the scene, while letting us peek inside of things that we would never have seen from that perspective. Also, the NY-based artist makes good use of negative space to focus our attention on each particular subject, which for this show also features imagery that plays on the title of the exhibition.
