Currently at Underdogs in Lisbon, a show from Pedro Matos is on view through April 2nd. Less Than Objects continues a line of work that the Portuguese artist last exhibited at the end of last year in Milan (covered) that are rendered mostly on linen canvases. Some of the abstract textures painted by the Matos seem to mimic the beautiful decay and imperfections seen in urban settings, not surprising when taking into account his time spent on the streets as a young artist.
