Joining the plethora of artists that have had art visible from the High Line in New York, Barbara Kruger unveiled a mural she designed earlier this year (and on view through March 2017). This latest work from the American artist famous for her text-based creations is entitled Untitled (Blind Idealism Is…) and features an “adaptation of a quote from Afro-Caribbean philosopher and revolutionary thinker Frantz Fanon, which has appeared in multiple works by the artist.” The words read BLIND IDEALISM IS REACTIONARY SCARY DEADLY (with the words REACTIONARY & SCARY crossed out), a play on the original quote of “blind idealism is reactionary.” Read more about it here.
