Tonight (March 31st) in New York, Last Rites Gallery will be opening the debut solo show from the Sweden-based Miles Johnston entitled Interoception. Combining a fascination for Escher-like visual illusions and a darker grotesque sensibility, the instructor at the Swedish Academy of Realist Art will be presenting an intriguing collection of oil on linen paintings and graphite on paper drawings. Johnston’s works tell “stories of transformative moments in the lives of all of us, moments that can stand as turning points or lessons of life.”
