Last weekend in Copenhagen, Eighteen Gallery hosted the the opening of another great show – Geoff McFetridge’s Coming Back Is Half The Trip. The Los Angeles-based illustrator, designer and artist’s instantly recognizable distillation of the human form into basic shapes and colors once again takes center stage for this exhibition, work that takes inspiration from daily routines and patterns. This time around, McFetridege has nicely paired his paintings with some sculptural works (his take on the animal form), arranged head-to-tail in the center of the space as would be indicated by the circular theme seen in many of the works.
