Currently on display at Brussel’s Xavier Hufkens are a series of sculptures, paintings and video work from Paul McCarthy in a show entitled Mixed Bag. The work selected for the exhibition, which spans the gallery’s two locations, originate from three of the American artist’s most important video performance installations of the last two decades: CP(Caribbean Pirates), WS (White Snow) and CSSC (Coach Stage Stage Coach) / DADDA (Donald And Daisy Duck Adventure). However, much of the sculptures on display are new iterations, the most attention grabbing of which are the pieces sprayed over with a lurid new palette.
