On March 5, an exhibition of new works by Gary Baseman will open at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. It will be the Los Angeles-based artist’s second show at the gallery and his first solo show in New York in six years. This new body of work represents a more personal and somber side of the artist, who lost his father in the past year. As the title of the exhibition suggests, the theme of the show concerns breaking through boundaries and limitations, imposed both by society and the art world.
Look for more coverage from AM, including a studio visit. Until then, visit Jonathan LeVine Gallery on March 5, from 6pm-8pm to view the show, meet Gary, and be surprised with what he may have in store for you.
