Black and Blue is an upcoming two-person exhibition featuring Ryan Bubnis and Lucas Irwin. The pair have set themselves the challenge of dealing with a limited colour palette for the artwork within the exhibition which will feature work from a variety of mediums including painting, drawing and sculpture. As well as their own individual works, the pair are also planning to present some collaborative pieces. We’re excited to see how they respond to their self imposed constraints, but the black and blue (and all hues in between) pieces in the preview images below are looking like this has the makings of an interesting show.
The exhibition will be held at 1975 Gallery in Rochester, NY and opens on Saturday 1st June.
