After showing at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center (covered), El Mac: Aerosol Exalted will be moving to the Main Gallery of the Mesa Arts Center where it will open for public on May 13th. The exhibition was announced with a large 35-foot tall mural few weeks ago (covered), and it presents El Mac’s latest body of work, including large collaborative canvases with RETNA.
Featuring 18 original works from artist’s own collection, this show is an exclusive opportunity to experience his unique style transferred into the indoor setting. The Los Angeles-based artist’s photo realistic portraits are done with a signature rippled line style, created both using brush and acrylic or spray paint. Influenced by everything from graffiti, Chicano and Mexican culture, to classical European art, the works presented are created on steel, wood, canvas, and even include some LED or reeded glass elements. The show will stay on view through August 7th.
